From the city you can take the scenic bicycle route from the back of Federation Square along the river, go over the foot bridge at Birrarung Marr. Then through the MCG forecourt, turn left, go half way up the hill, turn right, then at the eastern end of the park turn left and cross Wellington Parade. You will then be at the Punt Road and Bridge Road intersection.

Bicycles can be hired,  Rentabike is available from Princes Bridge for visitors to Melbourne. Enquire about bicycle hire at Federation Square information centre opposite Flinders Street Station in the CBD. You can also hire bikes from Melbourne Bike Share from Bike Share stations throughout Melbourne’s CBD. The closest Bike Share station is at Jolimont train station: Wellington Parade South Bike Station

Coming from the city you can catch any east bound route.The 75 tram in Flinders Street or the 48 tram from Collins Street to take you down Bridge Road.

Passengers from South Yarra and St Kilda can catch a north bound route 78 or 79 tram in Chapel Street.

If you are coming from Hawthorn, Camberwell or further east, catch any west bound route 75 tram. The same applies to Kew and Balwyn with the route 48 tram.

Richmond Station is one stop from Flinders Street, and minutes from Bridge Road via bus or tram. West Richmond station, accessible via any city loop train on the Epping/South Morang line is a short walk from Bridge Road. See ptv.vic.gov.au for details.
